Kia Manawanui Talent show!!

Kia Manawanui Talent Show!!
Today is the day where the Kia Manawanui syndicate perform their greatest talents, all day yesterday we stayed in class practising our items, we even had to perform in front of Mrs. Kelly the principal but luckly for me I knew all the actions to the song and also knew the words to 'This is me by Kealea Settle' at first I was nervous about the item I was going to do for the talent show with my group Lydia, Grace, Edith and Stephney.

Me and my group are going to perform a hula dance, pracitcing our hula dance was hard but watching Lydia do it made it look easy and simple, with alot of practice our item was looking polished and well done but I next time we may need to work on concentrating on ourselves and not worring about others but besides that I think that we are going to do a great job tonight.

Yesterday the Kia Manawanui syndicate took the time to practise our class song to start the show and to end the show. It took us at least 2 days to learn to the whole thing meaning song and dance. After practicing the song and dance we then got to rehearse the whole thing on stage, it was amazing and I loved it and I think that we are now ready to perform in front of our families and friends, just hoping I don't that everyone does well.

Thursday evening - (6:00)
It was then Thursday evening and it was time for us to go on stage, tonight was the night when I make my friends and family proud and to also help fundraise for the next term's camp. The only thing I needed to work on was to show a smile and to be confident.
As we went on stage to open the show with a song I saw the crowd looking for there childern/s  I then saw my mum sittig at the back and having her there to support me was great and that boosted my confidence. We then got into our positions and was ready to show the audience why we came here to do this. During the performance 'This is me' I started to get into it and at the same time enjoying it, Later on after leaving the stage and moving into the music room it was now time for everyone to enjoy all differnt items that the Kia Manawanui students have come up with.

While waiting for my group's turn to be called we then used that time to get ready for our performance, as we were all crowded in the same room I started to look on the students faces most of them looked nervous and others seemed confident and was enjoying themselves. Then it was time where me and my group was called to perform our hula dance, in the beginning of our performance I was nervous and tried to stay happy and joyful but I just couldn't I almost became aa frozen as a block of ice. All of a sudden my emotions started to change just as it got to the middle of our performance I then felt like I was not afraid to be seen by a group of adults and children. I was also trying to do the best I could to make everyone proud of what me and my group have done.

We then finshed our performance with a bow then left to the music room just as I got into the music room I then saw the students just playing around keeping everybody happy and confident. Even though we were finished with our hula dance I still know that it's not over yet meaning there were still more items left.

After seeing half perfromances we then had the school band set up for after just as we were getting the band ready we then had Caleb our music teacher sound check the instruments making sure that it was ready for the band to play. Just then it was time to start of the other half of performances  with the band singing to 'Hold on'. All members of the band were all here but except for our drummer Demetrius. The 2 keyboard players were Me and Leilani, the Bass guitarist was Stephney and the singers were Akanesi, Edith, Tevita and Amon. So taking Demetrius place for tonight was Caleb, while playing 'Hold on' I may have made a few mistakes but I still carried on.
