WALT: Understand the meaning or what Abstract art looks like.

Abstract Art - Art that seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, colours, and textures.

On Wednesday we were learning about what Abstract Art is and what it looks like.

Abstract Art in a way is different to other arts for example Abstract Art dont have to look realistic, most Abstract Art may look similiar to other arts, Abstract Art is like a way for artists to express themselves by showing their feelings.

I learnt that Abstract Art is an art that seeks for effect by using shapes, colours, and textures to express themselves.

At first I found that understading the meaning of Abstract art was challenging, I was so confused about what an Abstract art looks like and what it is. As we got through the lesson I then started to understand.

WALT: Read decimals to three places

SC: I can explain the value of the number

Today for Maths WALT Read decimals to three places. What I enjoyed about decimals today was being able to understand and being able to explain how and what the meaning of the decimal is. I also enjoyed being able to work with my buddy Stephney.

Once me and Stephney got up to our second worksheet it became challenging for me, Stephney was glad to be challenged. I learnt that on the left side of the decimal point it is a whole number and on the right of the decimal point it is a fraction of the number.

I enjoyed today's Maths it was fun, I really love learning more about decimals.

What Is Technology?

IALT: Understand what Technology is.

Technology is something we use to make life easier or is something we use that has a useful purpose.

2 types of Technology that I use every day is my toothbrush and Shower. Now these two types of Technology have a useful purpose which is, to help keep my teeth white and clean, and to be able to keep clean and fresh.

These two types of Technology make my life easier and better because without a toothbrush and a shower we wouldn't be able to keep ourselves clean. 

Their are seven types of Technology, for example, their is:

1. Agriculture and Bio-Technology

2. Energy and Power

3. Construction

4. Manufracturing

5. Transportation

6. Medical

7. Information and communication

If I could improve or add things to the shower I would have the water hot for aslong as possible, reason why is because I have a BIG family and many times when memebers in my family shower it usually runs out of hot water, I think that ths would really help me and my family.

My First Blog Reflection For Term 4!!

My First Blog Reflection For Term 4!!

IALT: reflect on school holiday.

During the school holidays I didnt do much, I basically did the same thing that I do everyday, which is, sleep, eat, play games and watch movies! On the first week of school holidays me and my family went to Rainbow's end. We arrived there and suddenly it started to rain, it rained for 2 or 3 minutes then stopped. 

For me I was excited and bored at the same time because i've already been at Rainbow's end before and to me it's still exciting when you hop on the rides but I also felt bored because during the day I hopped on every single ride more than two times which just became boring. 

After having fun at Rainbow's end me and my family had dinner at Gengis, Hmmm!! The food there was DELICIOUS!! I had a full plate and for dessert I had two bowls of ice cream with choclate toppings.

For the rest of the holidays I stayed home and rested. Last week Friday was my brothers 20th Birthday!! What was even better is that my dad's birthday was the day after my brothers birthday.

For this term I am looking forward to joining the upcoming sports, I am also looking forward on the many exciting trips we will be having, I would like to improve on being confident so that I am able to be comfortable around those who I dont know.

I enjoyed myself during the holidays and is glad to be back.
