Technology-Blueberry Muffin
IALT: Bake Blueberry Muffin's

Today is our last day of cooking class, next week we will be moving onto graphics. I am so sad that we are leaving cooking class and is moving onto graphics, BUT I am curious of what to expect when we go to graphics.

Today since it was the last week of cooking we decided to make Nacho's(Well some of us did) but as we arrived we saw that we were baking Blueberry Muffin's.
Here is the steps:
1 1/2 cup of SR flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 of oil
1/2 cup of milk, 1 egg
1/2 cup of blueberry
Mix well and scoop into muffin tin
Bake 180c for 15 mins
Cool down and top up with whip cream.
Right now I now know how to bake Blueberry muffin's, i've made red velvet, vinilla, and chocolate muffin's but I have never made Blueberry muffin's.
Questions:
Have you ever made Blueberry muffin's?
What would you have blueberry muffin's, chocolate muffin, vinilla muffin, or red velvet muffin?

Analysing, Evaluate, Synthesize

Analysing, Evaluate, Synthesize
IALT: Analyse, Evaluate and to Synthesize

Today for reading we got put into our cultural groups, I was put in the Fijian group, for the reading each group got given a myth in that country and had to read it twice. I read the text "The Turtles Of Namuana" the story is about a princess Tinaicoboga and her daughter Raudalice who lived in Namuana. They went out to catch some fish when fishermen came and kidnaped the princess and her daughter.

Why? Well because they did it only for the money, they tied their hands and feet with vines and paddled back to their village, because of the fishermen's cruelty and selfishness, the gods were furious and suddenly the sky turned black, a strong wind came pass and the sea began to churn.

Later on the princess and her daughter suddenly turned into GIANT SEA TURTLES!! They were thrown out into the sea and were safe, they stayed as turtles and lived in the waters of the bay guarding their village.

After reading the story we had to screencastify ourselves using our analysing, Evaluating and Synthesizing skills to explain the text.

Here is the links to my analysing, Evaluating, Sythesizing screencasitfy:
During this task I learnt how to use screencastify to explain the text using my Analysing, Evaluating, and Synthesizing skills.
I think that these three skills mean:
Analyse - Being able to understand the text.
Evalute - Giving your opinion using the evidence that is in the text.
Synthesizing - Putting information together and using your prior knowledge to create something or to come up with new ideas.

Here are some questions:
Can you explain what analysing, Evalutating, and Sythesizing means?
Do you know any Fijian myths?
Are yoy Fijian?
Where about do you live in Fiji?(That's if you do live in Fiji)

Please feel free to comment your thought's about my blog. If you have any questions please ask them in the comments.
Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoyed!!

πŸ“WRITING - POETRYπŸ“

πŸ“Writing- Poetry - Earthquakes!!πŸ“

Tectonic plates slip
BANG!!
Earth’s surface begins to shake
As if the earth had a stomach ache
Along the surface there are cracks
SMACK!!
As the buildings collapse.

Caused by the tectonic plates
An earthquake begins
Destroying everything in its way
While earth starts to shake.
Lives, homes, and belongings is what earthquakes take.
People screaming
AH!!
Buildings falling
Crash!!
Run away before it’s too late

Damage, destruction, and death is what Earthquakes have caused.
Leaving people nowhere to live
Hoping others will give
Anger and sorrow
Not sure of what to do tomorrow
And all you can hear
Is sound of sirens that fill the air.

Earthquakes are dangerous
They cause A LOT of damage
Think quick
Earthquakes can play tricks
Beware
No time to spare.

Up top is my poem, for writing we had to create a poem based on a natural disaster, for this I choose to create a poem based on Earthquakes. Also in our poems we had to include 5 different types of figurative language, I included at least 3 or 4, Alliteration, Simile, Personification, and onomatopeia. I was so excited when I heard that we had to create a poem, I think that next time I could work on adding more figurative language in my poem and to use adjectives in my poem.

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for listening!!
Please comment down below your thoughts about my poem.

➕ ➖ Maths ➗ ✖️

➕ ➖ Maths ➗ ✖️
IALA: equivalent fractions are

So for maths this week we learnt about what equivalent fractions are, to me I think that equivalent fractions is were the fractions are the same, for example 1/2 is the same as 2/4. Also with Ms. Aireen for Maths, yesterday instead of learning more about equivalent fractions we had a test. This test was similar to our Maths test in Term 1.

With this test Ms. Aireen was able to know what we have learnt so far, I admit that there was a few questions that I got stuck on but I managed to complete. I gave my best and I think I should have gotten at least 1 right. I learnt what equivalent fractions are. I think that I could really do better by practising and giving my own self problems to work out and most important is to practice my timestables especially my 8, 9 and 12 timestable.

I enjoy doing Maths with Ms. Aireen, I always go home knowing that I have learnt something.
Questions: What is your favourite subject?
What timestables are YOU working on?
What are you learning in Maths?

Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoyed.

Technology

Technology
IALT: Cook Hawaiian Pizza

As you know every Thursday we have Technology at Tamaki College, This week we made Hawaiian Pizza. Last week I wasn't here for Technology BECAUSE on the same day I had to go repersent our school at the Cross country tournament.

So as I was saying today we made Hawaiian Pizza, Here is the steps of how to make Hawaiian pizza, well not EXACTLY the steps.

Stpe 1 - Paste sauce on top of the Pizza
- Dice Ham, onion, Pineapple, chicken
- Spread equally on top of the Pizza bread
- Top up with cheese and bake 180c for 15 min

I made the pizza with my buddies, Lydia and Suave. I learnt how to slice and dice onions, I really didn't know how to slice a onio, you think it seems easy but trust me if you actually slice an onion you it would be difficult. I think that this week's cooking lesson was faster and easier than the rest. Next week will be our last lesson for this term and then we will be moving into Graphics, I can't say that i'm excited but I am looking forward. Next week we will be making Nacho's AGAIN!! Come on. We all had a choice of what to make next week and majority choose Nacho's.
I can't wait for next week.

Here are some questions:
What would you choose to make, Nacho's, Chocolate cake, or Milkshake?
What is your favourite thing to cook or bake?
Do you like Hawaiian Pizza?
What is your favourite pizza flavour?

Museum Trip

Museum Trip
IALA: The history of Volcanoes.

Today is Monday but is also the day where the Kia Manawanui syndicate(Group 2) went for a trip to the Museum, as we arrived at the Auckland Museum we meet two young lady's Wendy and Angilee(I think that's how you spell her name) They welcomed and introduced themselves in the first part, after greeting everyone we got split into two groups, while group 1 went to explore or study about Volcanoes, Group 2 stayed behind with Wendy and learnt how to use the technology that was there. I learnt how to use Tinker cad even though I already knew how to use it, I learnt how to use many other things such as, 3D painting, Green screen, Stop motion, coding and we also got to play with the virtual reality.

Today is Tuesday and today we finished off planing, we were planing how we were going to present of show how natural disasters work. Me and my buddie Stephney decided to work on the natural disaster Tsunami. We thought of showing our work by using stop motion, I prefer to use the stop motion if your showing how a natural disaster works because it is easier for me and is very helpful.
I think that if you are using stop motion to present your natural disaster you should first plan your work, then getting prepared, you can use either clay or lego to make what you need for your clip.
Oh, and you can use fabric as well.

I had such a great time at the musuem me and Stephney have finished our clip but still need to finish editing it. I am proud that we have completed our task and is excited to finish it off in a few weeks.

TODAY IS FRIDAY!!

TODAY IS FRIDAY!!

Today while homegroup 1 or room 9 went to the museum with Ms. Komor Room 10 stayed behind, this week their was a change of plans for the Kia Manawanui syndicate, apparently room 9 will be going this week to the museum on Tuesday AND Thursday. While room 10 will go to the museum next week on Monday and Thursday.

The first block was great, we had Maths with Mrs. Fepuleai, It was great we learnt about equivalent fractions. Equivalent fractions are fractions that are the same. Such as 1/2 is the same as 2/4. During the second block room 10 had to be split into different classrooms. I got put in Room 1 with Wallymei and Jose. I am enjoying it so far, I got to finish off my work and also got to blog more.

During the last block we will be having a whole school assembly. So we will have to go back to room 10 and pack up our class. I am enjoying my day and hope to finish off more work.

IAL: To write a poem about natural disasters

Today I have decided to share my poem about natural disasters with you.
I wanted to know your thoughts about my poem, please just be honest and please give me feedback.
Here is part of my poem. I have been writing a poem about Earthquakes.

Tectonic plates slip
BANG!!
Earth’s surface begins to shake
As if the earth had a stomach ache
Along the surface there are cracks
SMACK!!
As the buildings collapse.

Caused by the tectonic plates
An earthquake begins
Destroying everything in its way
While earth starts to shake.
Lives, homes, and belongings is what earthquakes take.
People screaming
AH!!
Buildings falling
Boom!!
Run away before it’s too late
No not that way, here run straight.

Damage, destruction, and death is what Earthquakes have caused.
Leaving people nowhere to live
Hoping others will give
Anger and sorrow
Not sure of what to do tomorrow
And all you can hear
Is sound of sirens that fill the air.

Earthquakes are dangerous.

πŸ’»Missed out on Technology!!πŸ’»

πŸ’»Missed out on Technology!!πŸ’»
IALT: blog about Technology

Yesterday on Thursday I missed out on Technology, reason why is because I was chosen to repersent our school at the Cross country tournament. I was glad that I was chosen but was also dissaponted that I had to miss out on Technology. Luckly we came back just in time was Music and Band practise.

At first I thought that I was going to miss out on everything but I was wrong, I made it in time for Music and band practise. The band just finished our new song HAPPY by Pharell williams and now moving onto Can't stop the feeling by Justin timberlake. I part is easier than my part in Happy and I think I can do this.

I am glad but also disapointed but I had fun yesterday.

Cross Country

Cross Country
IALT: Reflect on Cross Country

Yesterday on thrusday the 16th of August, students were selected to repersent the school at the cross country tournament. I was chosen to repersent our school along with 25 students.
I was really nervous and as we began to walk around the course at Bailey Road school I was already tired.

But what was shocking was that the year 7's and 8's had to run the course 3 times meaning we had to run 3 laps!! As I saw others run the course I saw that as they run past they looked really tired and what made it worse was that most of the surface was really muddy. It was then the year 7 girls turn to compete. I was already tired as I got past the hill. All I wanted at that time was to drink water.

Luckly I finished the race, what was dissaponting was that Me and Coralee saw 2 year 7 girls from Glenbrae school took the short cut, and I was told that if you cheat then you are disqualified. I just finished the course and came about 7th or 6th place. I really tried my best and I think I did the best I could.

I learnt that I need to be fit and that next time I will need more practise.
I think that Tamaki primary did our best and we are glad that we competed.

Please if you have any question just ask down below in the comments.
Thank you

🌎GEOLOGY Of The Earth🌎

🌎GEOLOGY Of The Earth🌎
IALA: The geology of the Earth.

Throughout this whole week I have been finishing up on the slide that was given to the Kia manawanui syndicate. We were shared a slide, on each slide it had a task and all 5 tasks had to be completed.
I found that explaining the difference between Oceanic and Continental crust was challenging because I wasn't so sure how to explain. I think that next time I could get some ideas from others or even ask. This tasks was challenging but I managed to complete.
Here is my presentation:
