๐Ÿ‘ฅPink Shirt Day๐Ÿ‘ฅ

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog! Although Pink Shirt Day was last week I will be blogging about it today. As you all know it was Pink Shirt Day at T.P.S (Tamaki Primary School), we all had to wear pink as a symbol to stand against bullying.

Story behind Pink Shirt Day:
From what i've heard Pink Shirt Day is all about a boy named Chuck McNeill in ninth grade who lived in Nova Scotia, Canda and was bullied for wearing a Pink Shirt on the first day of school.

An assembly was held on the day last week were the Student Leaders had prepared a play about the story of Chuck McNeill:

Once every year we have this day where we wear Pink to help stand against bullying. Before finishing I would like to say that I think this is a good idea, not only because we get to wear mufti but because I think that it's great that almost everyone around the world wear pink in support or those who are getting bullied and to symbolise a stand against bullying.

  1. I think that's really awesome! I think those bully's were not very nice to be bullying Chuck just because he was wearing a pink shirt. I love how your school took a stand against bullying!
