Principles Of The Treaty Of Waitangi

Principles Of The Treaty Of Waitangi
IALA: The three principles of the Treaty of Waitangi

As I mentioned in one of my previous blog's that this whole week we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi, this week we were given a task relating to the topic (Treaty of Waitangi) and within that task we had to answer questions that were based on the 3 principles (Participation, Partnership, and Protection). As you can see down below in the first 3 sections we had to give our thought's about what the 3 principles mean to us.
Following down below the 3rd 3 sections we had to explain how the 3 principles were shown during the Treaty of Waitangi between the two Maori and Pakeha.
Last but not least on the last two row's we had to explain we are going to show the 3 principles as a learner and as a student of the Kia Manawanui syndicate.

You can read through down below my task about the 3 principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.

Record your Answer in the space provided

The Pakeha and the Maori working together by signing the treaty and agreeing with each other.
If the Maori did not take part in this Treaty and signed it then their would still be a war between the two Pakeha and Maori.
Both working together to find a solution to their problems and also making decisions or rules that they think might keep the environment/land safe from travellers who might want to come and take over what belongs to them.
Protection was shown during the Treaty of Waitangi by having the both Maori and Pakeha give their thoughts about what rules they think could help keep the land safe from others.
Questions related to you as a learner in the Kia Manawanui syndicate
Describe how are you going to show active participation in your learning throughout the year?
Explain how you can show effective partnership in the Kia Manawanui syndicate this year
Provide examples of 3 things you will protect as a learner.
Record your Answer in the space provided
During this year I am willing to take part in group or class activities by having the confidence to share or suggest my ideas to the group/class.
I want to be able to make positive connections with my classmate’s, I would like to be able communicate with them and would like classmate’s to be comfortable working with me. By doing this I will be able to work properly with others during group task having to do with any subject such as: Math’s, Writing, Reading, Inquiry, P.E and many more.
As a learner I will protect my growth mindset, my knowledge, and my netbook.
