🌤🏏Cricket Tournament🏏🌤
Bula vinaka and welcome back to my blog! As you all know that every year for every term we have at least 2 or 3 sports that will be happening during the term for example, this term we have JUST finished our softball tournament 2 or 3 weeks ago (not too sure). So softball is usually our FIRST EVER sport that happens every year in the first term and next we have cricket! YASS! We were informed that the teams will be separate meaning their will be a GIRLS cricket team and a BOYS team. I was suprised and made me want to join (even though I was already going to). Almost ALL year 7 and 8 girls joined the cricket team, at least 12 girls joined the cricket team which was a suprise considering that not much girls would join sports like these.
I think that having the teams separate as a GIRLS and BOYS team was a good decision (well at least I think so). Reason being is because usually whenever the teams are mixed us girls would hardly communicate with each other AND the boys too. But with the groups being JUST girls I think it was easier for us girls to communicate and work TOGETHER as a team and IT WAS! Our Year 7 and 8 girls team won 3 games out of our 5 games that we played. There were many talented sport players at the tournament especially the girls and with our great coach (Mr. Reddy) teaching us the proper way to bowl or pitch the ball AND showing us how to swing our bat's in different positions or how to hit the ball OVER the cones to get 6 RUNS!! Although we did not practice much (especially the girls) we still gave our best and did well and the same goes with ALL teams that represented our school at the tournament we ALL did an AMAZING JOB and the teachers aswell.
I am REALLY excited and is looking forward to our NEXT UPCOMING SPORT! Which is.... VOLLEYBALL!! 🏐😁
